Ali MacGraw
Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and animal rights activist. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most well-known films. Her family was an artist family in New York and wanted to explore a career in the art. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to acting and modeling. She received the Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought fame to the world, as well an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. In just three films MacGraw was named as the top female performer at the box office in history. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were immortalized in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
