Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actress. She sings as well. Her mother raised her in the USA, where she faced many racial taunts that left her feeling like an unwanted person. If she attended an event at school and was given high praise for her singing at the age of 9, the girl began to feel more confident. She not only gained confidence from the experience however, she also re-evaluate her career goals. She graduated at the age of 22 with an education from the Julliard School in New York. She started her professional journey at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. The role in The Lad of The Lake is her greatest success, and earned her an award called the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her performance. The recognition grew even more by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. A singer by profession and producer, she's produced one single and an extended piece. In addition, she's an activist who fights for LGBT rights.
