Zoe-perry
Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first appearance was in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in the ABC comedy Roseanne. She was not allowed to perform by her parents until she reached adulthood, as they feared the anxiety it could cause. Perry acknowledged that she was not confident in her acting during high school, but started doing it to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry made her debut with New York after graduation, landing minor parts in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But homesickness made Perry return to California and pursue a career as an actress in the theater. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC political drama Scandal which starred her father. The actress was also featured on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The actress was chosen for the role despite her close familial connection to the character.
