Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress well known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s and began in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then she performed in a variety of Broadway shows before going famous in the national stage area with Li'l abner's in 1957. In the year 1957, she made her debut album called It's time for Tina. Louise's first venture into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda In God's Little Acre, a 1959 drama. The film garnered wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. This time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her most memorable performance came from 1964, when she was signed by CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise did not stop juggling her career from Broadway television and Hollywood acting in more dark characters as opposed to the image of glamorous. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and on the show as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in recent years she also has made her name as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 27th August, 1965 her family moved to Toronto at the age of three. She spent her childhood in Toronto and then her adolescence. She settled in Vancouver after being selected to play Samantha Carter.
