Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid's mother is Chinese and was raised within Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn comes from the American South. Her parents divorced when she was age two. Her family consisted of her mother, who served with the United States Air Force, and also her stepfather. The family emigrated to Oklahoma, and lived in several places, but she spent the bulk of her life in Tokyo. In the years that followed, she appeared in various local theater productions and later began modeling in the Japanese fashion industry. Olivia has moved with her family to Los Angeles in order to fulfill her desire to become an actress and continued working towards this goal when the family moved back to America. Olivia's acting career took off after a couple of tiny role. She landed the part of Mily in Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2005) and the receptionist role for Rob Schneider in Big Stan (2006). She is the host of G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". It is her favorite pastime to surf, and she is still practicing after the TV show Beyond the Break (2006). She is also a black-belt in taekwondo. When she was just two years old, her mother married again and this time, with a US Air Force member. Although the family relocated many times, she was primarily born at Tokyo, Japan, where the military stationed her stepfather. She completed her journalism studies at the University of Oklahoma and also minored Japanese drama, dramatic arts, and acting.
